As we move towards Winter Solstice, traditionally known as Yule, we are anticipating the turn of the wheel of the year towards longer days and shorter nights. As I write this we're just moving through Samhain and All Hallows Eve, which carries us into the underworld of our experience, as we honour the unseen, welcome our ancestors, release unhelpful conditioning and ancestral patterns with the falling leaves and give Gratitude for the gift of life our Ancestors have bestowed upon us. 

If we are to align with Nature, this next phase is not so much a time for external pursuits, as the Sun is moving towards the weakest point of its cycle. We have an opportunity here to prepare inwardly for the return of the Sun's light, to shed any last remnants of old skins and to enjoy resting in the Silence and Stillness of the womb of this dark phase, with innocence and enthusiasm, as to what will be birthed within us as the Light returns.

Join local performance artists and myself as we explore and give a voice, through stories, poems, music and song, the theme Return Of The Light, however that resonates for each of us.

We're so excited to have 10th Bard of Northampton Paul Giffney joining us as our "Special Guest". As a Sacred Celebrant I'm sure he will have much to offer about the richness of this most celebrated festival in the wheel of the Pagan and Celtic year. 

We're also delighted to debut The Healing Hermanas, a five songstress strong group, whom those that frequent the Om Studio will recognise a few faces.

Also me Raye, aka The Bendy Witch, as compere, weaving together the theme with some poems, stories and a Haiku here and there.

There'll be a refreshment included, some delicious delight and hot beverage provided and served by Debbie OM and toilet break mid way, a chance to connect and chat with like-minded folk. There's the opportunity at the end via a fun Q&A to ask the performance artists questions or share any revelations that may arise for you throughout the evening.

This is an intimate Venue -  Only 30 ticket sales in total - 3 admission options available - Please pay what you can genuinely afford 🙏🏼

Admission includes refreshments during the break - There's access to a toilet throughout the night. 

Seating is relaxed, cosy and informal with a mixture of chairs, cushions, bolsters and blankets.

*Please note before booking: This is a small venue with access that is NOT suitable for wheelchairs. The toilet is upstairs and not suitable for disabled persons. Due to small numbers we have a no refund policy.

The OM Studio in Northampton has been used for many years for Yoga, Meditation, Song Circles, Workshops, Day Retreats and Community Gatherings. It has a beautiful atmosphere of Peace infused into its walls.

Special Guest:  10th Bard of Northampton - Paul Giffney

Paul Giffney, the 10th Bard of Northampton, is a published poet, personal tutor and a trained celebrant (person who creates and ‘performs’ ceremonies). He is a supporter of the creative world, both in Northampton (where he lives) and beyond, loving how words can make a difference in many lives.

He writes when he can, living with his husband, his cat and a pile of books that do not fit on any shelf. (The books. The cat fits on every shelf). 

His pagan beliefs have influenced a lot of his writing alongside his love of nature - perfect for talking about 'The Return of Light'!

Paul is warm, funny and a beautiful human being! We can't wait for him to share his light and humour with us at the The OM.

Musical Special Guests: Lootie, Lyndz & Harriet

We’re very excited to be bringing another debut musical performance to Saturday night @ The OM.

Lootie, our ‘resident’ musician will be joined Lyndz Liquid Light (another regular) and Harriet Creedy-Crockford, for their first outing as a trio of song sisters.

These three met many moons ago through the OM studio, and have been singing and sounding together through various groups and circles ever since. They each have a unique history, personality and vibration, which they will weave together in a celebration of the theme of Return of the Light. They look so forward to sharing with you through sound, original songs, and some classics.

Your Compere: Poet and Storyteller Rachael "Raye" White aka The Bendy Witch.

Having loved writing as a kid because she was painfully shy, extremely sensitive and found it very difficult to express herself verbally, Raye randomly started writing Poetry again during an anxiety attack on the London Underground in 2014, whilst mid way through an Authentic Success Coaching program with Dr Robert Holden. She was invited to read out the poem “Dancing In-Between the I’s”. It was received with a standing ovation and has two more since. An unexpected success indeed!

In 2015 she found herself in Spain for 6 months and became a Meditation Monk for 5 years. However, the poetry flood gates had opened and the “Poetry Pixies” persisted in pestering her until she rather surprised herself by performing poems at Scribal Gathering in 2019, where she was welcomed and encouraged and became a regular performer for “Ode to the Siren” as part of the Stony Live festival and hasn't looked back since. She honestly believes if she stand on the stage and speak then it's possible for anybody.

In 2022 Raye started “The Silent Revolution” to help people reconnect with their most authentic selves, to find more Joy in their Hearts and their everyday mundane existence. She wishes to bring people together not just in the Silence through Meditation, but in Heartfelt connection, through their shared stories, songs and poems.. And so here we are experiencing a wish being fulfilled in Saturday Night @ The OM, where Raye performs, comperes and weaves together the theme with the other performers throughout the night.

Debbie OM and the OM Studio are all about how awareness of the body/mind connection has a profound effect on the quality of our lives.  She had her first visions of the OM Studio in 2003 after returning from a Mantra Retreat with one of her Beloved teachers Muz Murray. You can read more about the birth of the OM Studio here. 

Debbies own Yoga journey started in 1995 with Mary Davis as she rediscovered through Yoga the enjoyment of movement, ease and fluidity in her body, which led her to training to become a Yoga teacher. She felt like she was on a mission to finding more meaning through life. It was in 2000 she met Muz, whom work with the Sanskrit alphabet and Mantra, she has described as a revelation.

Debbie has a clear vision of continually creating a safe space for bringing souls together to work on letting go of past hurts. She envisions creating a space for the heart to rest and feel safe for self enquiry into the NOW moment.

In 2006 she found herself at the foot of the Divine Arunarchala mountain in India which re-opened within her the joy of sound, dance and music. Unknown to her it had been buried and forgotten, however the mantra was now fully bringing this remembrance back to life.

Debbie supports Saturday Night @ The OM with her Presence, welcoming all who join us and provides the delicious nibbles and refreshments we have in the break. Sometimes she joins us on the stage to sing and also for the Q & A.
