Saturday Night @ The OM - Shine with Ch'Lu
What a delight we have for you at this next Saturday Night @ the OM as we share around the theme Shine and what it means to shine bright, to awaken to your light, to awaken to the Divine Spark within. It's an invitation to authenticity, a step towards what it takes in truly becoming ourSelves and the journey, that can appear sometimes arduous, to the revealing of our original face.
It's easy to forget who we are at our essence as the conditioning into parental and societal expectations starts young. There's a certain level of bravery, tenacity and one pointedness thats needed to break out of the mould, to be honest about who we are in any given moment and what we are really here to bring to this world.
It can appear so much easier to dim our light in avoidance of what revealing it may attract and yet in avoidance we become blind with no inner lantern to guide the way and life can appear dull, like somethings missing. That something may just be You. Sometimes we are the moth, sometimes the flame, sometimes our light is bright and sometimes a flicker. One thing is for sure, the light of the Soul can never be extinguished, only shrouded by ignorance, fear, guilt and shame.
We welcome Ch'Lu to the OM Studio, an international, multi-lingual singer-songwriter and actress with many eclectic talents. ‘Where Venus Meets Mars’ is Ch’Lu’s most recent self-produced release: an evocative meeting of male and female forces on the battlefield. It was composed for Ch’Lu’s first ever ninja-pole performance (aerial pole with samurai swords and nunchaku) which took place at The Elgiva Theatre, Buckinghamshire, UK. This is actually a World First and was covered by the BBC. There'll be no poles or nunchaku in the OM though, simply the beauty of Ch'Lu with her guitar and voice.
As ninja warrior and artist, Ch’Lu wants to entertain you into feeling less alone, anxious or stressed ,and more like the best version of yourself: connected, fulfilled and eager to get out of bed each day. Hear the vibe. See the light. Feel the warmth. Be part of the spreading flame as your heart smiles.
This night is a little different to usual, being just the two of us, myself, Raye (The Bendy Witch) as compere, poet, storyteller and Ch'Lu! We two are not strangers, both previously Meditating Monks, we shared a dorm during our training. This pic is of us in 2015! Being a professional musician, Ch'Lu was given permission to practice and maintain her craft. I remember feeling absolutely Blessed to hear her playing classic guitar and singing like an Angel while I was Meditating outside on the mountain top and I'm so excited that you are going to get to experience her gifts too.

The OM Studio in Northampton has been used for many years for Yoga, Meditation, Song Circles, Workshops, Day Retreats and Community Gatherings. It has a beautiful atmosphere of Peace infused into its walls.

Special Guest: Ch'Lu - Award-Winning Singer-Songwriter
Ch'Lu is a polyglot polymath. An eclectic ‘Artist of the Renaissance’, she entices, inspires and transforms, with a Zeitgeist fusion of ethereal harmonies and relatable, multi-lingual lyrics; blended with classical guitar arpeggiation, hypnotic beats and binaural field recordings. Both bewitching Ninja and entertaining Chanteuse, her signature Art-Pop sound is fuelled by her desire to expand consciousness.
Of Romanian/British parentage, Ch'Lu, (formerly Camilla Mathias), trained in classical guitar and numerous other instruments from a young age, supported by a Buckinghamshire County Scholarship; in classical singing with the late John Dalby and as an actor at Central School of Speech & Drama, and Atelier Raymond-Girard, Paris. In addition, she has a solid foundation as a Vedic mantra meditation teacher, various martial arts and a growing list of languages. Ch'Lu has been streamed in several hundred different cities worldwide, has to date performed in twenty-three countries and composed and performed in thirteen languages.
At the heart her “The Goddess Within" album are the ancient Sanskrit texts of the Mandukya Upanishads, which create the experience and journey of “Om” (Aum). It is the vibration of the universe and all things living, returning the nervous system to a place full of potential, releasing stress, toxins and negativity. Ch’Lu has been studying Sanskrit for the last thirteen years, and like NASA, believes it is the ultimate language for inter-dimensional communication. Indeed the name Ch’Lu (pronounced 'Choo LOO') is itself derived from Sanskrit, given to Ch’Lu by her Jyotish (Vedic Astrology) mentor to power and support her creative and performance work moving forward. Her artistic direction is intuited by the energy of “Ch’Lu”.
BBC6 Music DJ Tom Robinson’s Fresh on the Net picked four tracks from Ch’Lu’s latest self-produced album "The Goddess Within"*, and had her as a guest curator. On Ch'Lu's music he says “Takes me to some place else, away from everything that bothers the mind"

Your Compere: Poet and Storyteller Rachael "Raye" White aka The Bendy Witch.
Having loved writing as a kid because she was painfully shy, extremely sensitive and found it very difficult to express herself verbally, Raye randomly started writing Poetry again during an anxiety attack on the London Underground in 2014, whilst mid way through an Authentic Success Coaching program with Dr Robert Holden. She was invited to read out the poem “Dancing In-Between the I’s”. It was received with a standing ovation and has two more since. An unexpected success indeed!
In 2015 she found herself in Spain for 6 months and became a Meditation Monk for 5 years. However, the poetry flood gates had opened and the “Poetry Pixies” persisted in pestering her until she rather surprised herself by performing poems at Scribal Gathering in 2019, where she was welcomed and encouraged and became a regular performer for “Ode to the Siren” as part of the Stony Live festival and hasn't looked back since. She honestly believes if she can stand on the stage and speak then it's possible for anybody.
In 2022 Raye started “The Silent Revolution” to help people reconnect with their most authentic selves, to find more Joy in their Hearts and their everyday mundane existence. She wishes to bring people together not just in the Silence through Meditation, but in Heartfelt connection, through their shared stories, songs and poems.. And so here we are experiencing a wish being fulfilled in Saturday Night @ The OM, where Raye performs, comperes and weaves together the theme with the other performers throughout the night.

Debbie OM and the OM Studio are all about how awareness of the body/mind connection has a profound effect on the quality of our lives. She had her first visions of the OM Studio in 2003 after returning from a Mantra Retreat with one of her Beloved teachers Muz Murray. You can read more about the birth of the OM Studio here.
Debbies own Yoga journey started in 1995 with Mary Davis as she rediscovered through Yoga the enjoyment of movement, ease and fluidity in her body, which led her to training to become a Yoga teacher. She felt like she was on a mission to finding more meaning through life. It was in 2000 she met Muz, whom work with the Sanskrit alphabet and Mantra, she has described as a revelation.
Debbie has a clear vision of continually creating a safe space for bringing souls together to work on letting go of past hurts. She envisions creating a space for the heart to rest and feel safe for self enquiry into the NOW moment.
In 2006 she found herself at the foot of the Divine Arunarchala mountain in India which re-opened within her the joy of sound, dance and music. Unknown to her it had been buried and forgotten, however the mantra was now fully bringing this remembrance back to life.
Debbie supports Saturday Night @ The OM with her Presence, welcoming all who join us and provides the delicious nibbles and refreshments we have in the break. Sometimes she joins us on the stage to sing and also for the Q & A.
