WHO IS IT FOR?
A monthly breakfast for business leaders and founders who want connection with purpose.
It's a room full of people who are serious about doing business better and want to meet others who feel the same way.
Our events are for anyone working at the intersection of business and impact, whether you're Better Business Standard certified, a B Corp, a 1% for the Planet member or simply on your own journey toward doing business better. This is a space for real conversation, honest reflection and the kind of community that actually moves things forward.
How the morning runs:
- Arrive at 9am, grab a drink, 15 minutes of open networking to ease in
- 30 minutes of structured speed networking : five short one-to-ones, one after another
- Two offers and two asks from the floor
- BBN news, updates and a warm welcome to new faces
- 30 minutes of open networking to continue the conversations worth continuing
New to BBN? You're welcome at your first two Breakfast Networking events for free. After that, BBN membership starts from £95 a year and gives you access to the full programme of regional events, workshops, campaigns and a growing network of purpose driven businesses across the UK. We've also just launched a free Guest membership, so you can stay connected after your first two events at no cost.

ABOUT THE VENUE
Justlife is a homelessness charity working in Brighton and Manchester alongside people living in temporary accommodation (TA), the hidden and fastest-growing form of homelessness in the UK. We provide person-centred, trauma-informed support that helps people improve their wellbeing, build connections and navigate life beyond homelessness. Alongside our frontline work, we campaign nationally to make temporary accommodation short, safe and healthy for everyone. They love collaborating with purpose-driven organisations and believe businesses, charities and communities can achieve far more when we work together

The Better Business Network is a community for purpose-led and impact-driven businesses to connect, grow and make change happen.
We believe you don't have to choose between impact and income. You can grow both, while advocating for systemic change and leaving the world better than you found it.

Alex lived and worked in China for 25 years where she established several businesses and organisations, including one of the “Top Ten Bookshops in the World” (Guardian, Lonely Planet) and China’s largest Literary Festival, a theatre company, an outdoor management training company and a leadership training organisation.
She has a track record of creating successful small businesses with big impact, and now shares her knowledge and experience as a trainer, consultant, and facilitator with clients in the UK. Alex specialises in thinking skills, helping teams and individuals apply creative, curious, and holistic thinking to complex problem solving. She also runs programmes on Sustainability leadership. Director of the Yurt Academy, Alex is also Associate Professor at the Business School of the University of Sussex.
Our host at Justife is Fran Anderson, Director of Income & Development. Fran is passionate about bringing together people, ideas and organisations that want to create meaningful social change, and believes networks like BBN have a vital role to play in building a fairer, more connected and more sustainable future.
