Join us for 1, 2 or 3 of our expert-led events, designed to make horse care easier, clearer and less stressful.
1.Thursday 27th March, 7pm - Balanced Feeding: Feed Your Horse Right at the Millennium Hall, Crosby. Not sure if your horse’s diet matches its workload? Overfeeding, or underfeeding, can lead to health issues but finding the right balance doesn’t have to be complicated! Equine therapist Jo Howie (BSc Hons, EEBW) will share practical tips to help you feed with confidence.
2. Friday 28th March, 7.30pm - Delayed Euthanasia: Knowing When to Euthanise. This is an online event, with "watch live" or "watch later" options. We all hope we’ll know when the time is right, but making end-of-life decisions can be one of the hardest parts of horse ownership. Join specialist equine vet Suzanne Green as she gently guides us through assessing quality of life, planning ahead, and avoiding delayed euthanasia.
3. Saturday 29th March, 10am to 3pm - Equine First Aid at Old Lonan Church Farm. - Would you know what to do in an emergency? This hands-on session will give you the skills and confidence to handle common injuries, ailments, and when to call the vet. Led by experienced equine vet Liz Brown (BSc BVSc MRCVS), this training is practical, engaging, and could make all the difference when it matters most.
