Join us for a special 4th of July edition of HiFi Lanai, a community-focused open-air gathering built by artists, for artists, music lovers, and seekers of meaningful connection.

This Fourth of July, experience one of Kona’s most unique vantage points as the evening’s festivities unfold around us. From the lanai, guests will have a front-row view of the official Kailua-Bay fireworks show over the ocean that begins at 8pm. Throughout the evening you'll also enjoy a panoramic view of any other fireworks from the surrounding area and hillside.

Perched upstairs at Papa Kona overlooking Kailua Bay, the lights of Kona, and the iconic stretch of Aliʻi Drive, HiFi Lanai combines immersive full-spectrum sound, live visual art, and intentional atmosphere for a one-night journey from golden hour into the late-night depths beneath the stars.

Alongside the fireworks, the space comes alive with live art and visual installations throughout the night, creating a layered environment where sound, light, and creativity move together in real time.

The night begins with sunset grooves, warm selections, and waterfront views before evolving into a deeper exploration of bass, rhythm, dance, and sound system culture.

A side project of Safari Parti rooted in dub culture, sound system energy, and low-end storytelling. Drawing influence from dub techno, roots dub, steppas, reggae dub, deep dub, and bass music, DubSm.th blends styles into immersive groove-driven sets where atmosphere, rhythm, and sub pressure lead the journey.
A featured Big House artist known for holding down the groove between live acts and late-night bass sessions, DubSm.th helps bridge Hawai‘i’s deep connection to reggae and dub with evolving sound system culture. You’ve likely caught the vibe flowing in between artists like The Expendables, Aurorawave, and Mike Love.
Expect a laid-back but deeply tuned-in sunset journey — easing the room from golden hour into nightfall through spacious echoes, rolling basslines, hypnotic steppas rhythms, and warm island energy. Trecca
A fresh face on the Big Island dj scene, Trecca is gaining traction for his ability to rock the dance floor with fun unique mixes. Weaving together deep grooves and hypnotic synthscapes, he brings a modern take to classic rave sounds, keeping it both fresh and timeless.
Trecca approaches the dance community with a fine sense of the transformative power of music. Each set is a carefully crafted journey designed to energize, uplift, and bring people together through rhythm and movement.

Unit: E
Meet Unit: E, an accomplished DJ from Hawaii. Unit: E began his journey in the local electronic music scene of Hawaii in 1996, where he emerged as a prominent figure known for his exceptional sets and amiable personality. Over the last 30 years, Unit: E has established himself as an integral part of Hawaii's music scene and has played alongside some of his favorite DJs and Producers. He takes inspiration from the cultural mosaic of the island and blends it with cutting-edge electronic music to create a unique and unforgettable sonic experience. His sets are carefully crafted, invoking a sense of togetherness and joy that is truly universal. Unit: E's dedication to the art of DJing has extended beyond the stage. He is now a mentor and instructor to aspiring DJs, imparting his knowledge and expertise to help them unlock their full potential. He teaches fundamental DJ essentials and theory and guides his students in mastering gear and reading a crowd.
Unit: E's legacy in Hawaii's music landscape is undeniable. With every lesson he teaches and every track he drops, he leaves an indelible mark on the future of the music scene in Hawaii.

The Dockness
is a Big Island legend whose reputation has been built one unforgettable dancefloor at a time. Elusive by nature and a longtime crowd favorite, he's spent years delivering high-energy, bass-driven sets rooted in 808s, heavy grooves, and undeniable rhythm. With an instinct for reading the room and keeping bodies moving, The Dockness brings a raw, infectious energy that turns every performance into a full-on dance experience. Whether you've been following him for years or are catching him for the first time, one thing is certain: when The Dockness steps behind the decks, the dancefloor comes alive.

Chris Cosmo
Meet Christopher Pierce, known in the music realm as Cosmo, a seasoned mixologist of beats originally hailing from New England. His rhythmic journey was sparked by a deep love for synthesized music and crafting mixtapes, which eventually led him to acquire his inaugural set of turntables in 1996. Over the years, Cosmo's sonic identity has undergone a captivating evolution, navigating seamlessly through breakbeat, deep house, and a spectrum that spans everything in between.

Drawing comparisons to the precision of Sasha and emanating vibes reminiscent of a fusion between Josh Wink and Doc Martin, Cosmo has etched his unique signature onto the global music landscape. Since his debut, he has graced numerous stages across multiple countries, sharing his distinctive style alongside an array of luminaries such as Paul Van Dyk, DJ Dan, Doc Martin, Mark Farina, Josh Wink, Rabbit in the Moon, Pig & Dan, Franky Bones, Christian Smith, Bad Boy Bill, DJ Icey, KRS ONE, and a host of other notable artists.

Alongside his captivating performances, Cosmo was a key figure in shaping the underground dance scene across New England in the early 2000s. He co-promoted Boston's renowned Friday nights at "Avaland" and played a crucial role in organizing the infamous NetWerkOne Parties, which consistently attracted crowds ranging from 2000 to over 4500 attendees during that era. In recent years, Cosmo has continued his commitment to pushing boundaries in the electronic music scene by curating cutting-edge afterhours warehouse events on the Big Island of Hawaii. Additionally, he has developed an online event directory and ticketing platform, showcasing his ongoing dedication to the industry.

Cosmo isn't merely a DJ; he's a visionary curator and a driving force behind unforgettable musical experiences. As he persists in pushing boundaries and fostering the dance narrative, his legacy reverberates not only through his beats but also within the vibrant tapestry of the underground dance community.

Binky
has become a staple of the Big Island underground, known for crafting late-night journeys through driving house, hypnotic tech, and deep, rolling grooves. With an arsenal that also reaches into drum & bass and bass music when the moment calls for it, his sets are dynamic, unpredictable, and built entirely around the dancefloor.

Known for seamless mixing, infectious energy, and an instinct for reading the room, Binky knows exactly when to settle into hypnotic rhythms and when to unleash peak-time heaters. Every performance is a carefully curated progression that keeps the crowd locked in from the first beat to the last.

Whether he's weaving through stripped-back minimal, chunky tech house, or dropping an unexpected bass-heavy curveball, Binky delivers one thing every time: movement.
