JOY TO THE WORLD - CAROLS AT CHRISTMAS TOUR

We are excited to be taking Kent choirs on tour on Friday 13th December to perform at Queens Road Baptist Church. We are all travelling together by coach see details below. Please bring any refreshments you may want for the coach/evening. Remember singing is hungry work!

TIMINGS: 6.00 pm soundcheck for 7.30 pm concert.

CONCERT UNIFORM: Dressy! Top half - fully white (e.g. top, blouse, shirt, blazer). Bottom half - fully black (e.g. trousers, skirt). Dressy black shoes. 

This is a GOLD event so you may only book to perform as long as you have attended 3 rehearsals out of the last four prior to 13th December for community choirs. Check the handbook for full information here. By signing up to this event, you understand these guidelines and accept that your performance could be cancelled if not met.

Venue: Queens Road Baptist Church, Queens Rd, Broadstairs CT10 1NU

Green room/Refreshments: there is a green room on the ground floor for the choir and light refreshments will be provided.  The performance is in the auditorium which is on the first floor accessible via a staircase or a lift.

Parking: We will all travel together by coach - see below.   For anyone meeting there the nearest car park is Crofts Place Car Park, Crofts Pl, Broadstairs CT10 1JT 

Arrival Time: 5.30 pm

Sound Check:  6.00 pm Please help each other and get into position as quickly as possible arranging yourselves by height. Make sure you can see between the people in front of you if you are behind. Once performance starts, please stay focussed, keep watching Gemma and no talking at all between songs. Please do not chew gum or use your own mobile phones during our performances.

Doors: 7.00 pm

Performance times: First half 7:30 - 8:15pm, then interval, second half 8:45 - 9:30pm

COACH DETAILS:  All coach seats are at a small and heavily subsidised cost of £15 each - please see coach times/details below. Note that the coach has a toilet on board. Please be at your allocated boarding point 15 minutes prior to departure so that we can board/depart on time thank you. No alcohol on board please - you may eat and drink but please take all your rubbish away with you.

Departure Point 1: Swanley: 3.00 pm: St Peter's Church, College Road, Swanley, BR8 7RH. Park in car park.

Departure Point 2: Gravesend: 3.30 pm: the layby near the entrance to Cygnet Leisure Centre car park on Hall Road, Northfleet, Gravesend DA11 8BU.

Departure Point 3: Rochester: 4.00 pm: Bus Stop L, East Row, Rochester ME1 1XZ – Long Stay Parking is Available close by in Union Street & King Street Car Park, or in the surrounding roads.

COACH RETURN JOURNEY -   The coach will depart to return by 10.30pm at the latest and drop off in reverse. The coach may leave earlier than this time - Gemma will update you on the day if so.
