I'm here to do things differently and I'm going to say it right now, you CAN have a positive birth experience and you can even be EXCITED about your upcoming birth. Calm. Confident. Prepared. Ready.

Over two relaxed and empowering days, you and your birth partner will learn practical tools, evidence-based birth education and powerful Hypnobirthing techniques that can help you approach birth feeling informed, prepared and confident to navigate whatever path your birth takes.

This isn't about achieving a "perfect birth". It's about understanding your options, building trust in yourself, learning how your mind and body work together during birth, and feeling equipped with tools that can support you throughout the experience.

With just 2-5 couples attending, this will be a small, welcoming and supportive group where you'll have plenty of opportunity to ask questions, share experiences and connect with other local expectant parents.

This will be held in a gorgeous venue, with refreshments included, a buffet style lunch on the first session and a delicious afternoon tea on the second session and as a celebration of what you have achieved. Because preparing for birth shouldn't feel like another thing to tick off your to-do list. It should feel special too! I love the little extras, the human interaction and friendships because this is where real support comes alive. I truly believe birth prep should be interactive and not just something you half watch on a screen whilst cooking dinner (i've been there too)

Meet Your Host

Hi, I'm Donna, a Mum of 2, certified Hypnobirthing teacher, Baby Massage Teacher, Qualified Nurse by background, and founder of The Birth Shed.

I stumbled across Hypnobirthing when I was pregnant with my rainbow baby, following a difficult time trying to conceive and pregnancy loss. It really changed everything for me and it honestly became my mission to spread the word to as many women and expectant parents as possible! I completed my fully accredited Hypnobirthing Teacher training and launched my own business in 2023. I am so passionate about helping women and their birth partners feel informed, empowered and even excited about birth! My courses are super friendly, and are a holistic way to prepare for birth. This includes practical techniques to use during labour and birth, practical preparation with mindset tools that help you shed fear, build confidence and step into birth feeling calm, capable and supported.
