Accessibility and Inclusion in the Scottish Traditional Music Scene

Mon 5 Oct 2026 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM BST Online, Zoom

Our next online event will explore disability, inclusion and accessibility in the Scottish trad music scene.

We're delighted to be joined by panellists Grace Stewart-Skinner, Kriss Moulder, Magnus Turpie and Linda Campbell for a discussion exploring the experiences of disabled musicians and what we can do to make traditional music spaces more accessible and inclusive.

We'll be talking about topics including
• Accessibility in informal settings, such as sessions
• What festivals and events can do to create more accessible spaces and opportunities
• The experiences and perspectives of disabled musicians
• How we can all become better allies and help create a more inclusive trad scene

The event is for anyone interested in making traditional music more inclusive - whether you're a musician, organiser, festival, organisation or simply want to learn more. It will be particularly useful for festivals and organisations looking to develop more accessible and inclusive opportunities, as well as anyone who wants to better understand the experiences and views of disabled musicians.
