Award winning trio of vocalist Lauren Kinsella, saxophonist Julian Siegal and pianist Liam Noble explore the work of celebrated vocalists such as Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee and the great Jazz Standard cannon from composers Rodgers & Hammerstein, George Gershwin and Cole Porter

Lauren Kinsella brings together two of the UK’s most internationally active jazz musicians in an award winning vocal trio. Currently based in London, all three musicians have been working together over the last ten years.

Irish Vocalist Lauren Kinsella was awarded an associateship with the Royal Academy of Music in 2022 for her contribution to music; she performs regularly across Europe and the UK as soloist, bandleader and collaborator and performs in several much in demand groups including Snowpoet and Roamer.

Saxophonist Julian Siegal has worked with many top figures including Bill Frisell, Hermeto Pascoal, John Taylor, Kenny Wheeler and the German NDR big band. He is a celebrated arranger, band leader and writer leading many of his own groups including the Julian Siegal Quartet.

Pianist Liam Noble is widely regarded as one of the UK’s finest pianists. As a performer, composer, arranger and educator he has worked with artists such as Dave Liebman, Anita Wardell, Christine Tobin and Tom Rainey.

Together the trio will explore some of the most celebrated song writers and vocalists in history from Sarah Vaughan to Ella Fitzgerald and Peggy Lee, and will draw on the great Jazz Standard cannon from composers such as Rodgers and Hammerstein, George Gershwin and Cole Porter.

Press Quotes:

“Sometimes an artist comes along so startlingly original that all a critic can do is sit back, close the notebook fold the arms and enjoy whatever happens next. Lauren Kinsella is listed in the Musician’s Union directory as a singer but that tells only a fraction of the great new thing.”

Jazzwise

“Siegal masterfully deploys rhythm, color and texture to create a lustrous ensemble sound.”

The Jazz Mann

“Noble is a supreme motivic improviser, in the manner of Thelonious Monk, Ornette Coleman, Sonny Rollins and latterly Brad Mehldau – not only in the way he unearths fresh melodies on the fly, but entwines them with earlier ideas in the solo and tell-tale echoes of the theme."
