Rodney Owl
Rodney Owl (aka Mark McConville) is a Galway-based songwriter, originally from Lurgan, Co. Armagh. With influences as diverse as Aldous Harding, Lumen Drones, Velvet Underground, The Smiths and Sly & The Family Stone, his songs are evocative yet elusive — filled with abstract lyricism and musical dynamism.

Defining his music as Electric Folk — it is in turn breathless, immersive, thought-provoking, quirky and whimsical…sometimes all at once.

Rodney Owl launches his album Truth is Broken on the Black Gate Label in An Taibhdhearc on Thursday, 13th of April.

Jack Vanderklaus
Sunny space groover Jack Vanderklauss makes breezy reverb drenched love songs infused with silky jangle pop and a penchant for the absurd. As one of the driving creative forces in Galway bands The Cartoon Thieves, No Banjo and Canaries, Jack has been a long term and influential mainstay of the local music scene - his latest incarnation as Jack Vanderklaus distils the energy and experience of previous lives into something new and magnificent.

Ruth Mac
Ruth Mac is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Kinvara, now based in Berlin, Germany. With a penchant for lush, textured guitars and catchy melodic hooks, her sound dances at an intersection of indie-rock, alt-soul and dream pop. Ever the wordsmith, Mac writes vibrant songs soaked in sentimental detail that offer an escape into the world of an introspective dreamer.

In 2021 Mac signed to London-based label Beth Shalom Records for the release of her debut EP Living Room. Glazed in luscious production and retro folk-rock aesthetics, Living Room was released in October 2021 both digitally and on a sold-out limited pressing of 10” lathe vinyls.
