Looking for a sociable, relaxed midweek evening that isn’t a loud pub or a screen?

Boardrooms Games Night is a hosted board game evening designed to help people connect, unwind and have a genuinely good time — whether you’re completely new to modern board games or you already play now and then.

What happens on the night

Our friendly hosts will:

• Welcome you in and help you settle
• Recommend a game that suits your group (or help you join a table if you come solo)
• Teach the rules clearly and quickly (no awkward rulebook-reading)
• Check in as needed, then leave you to enjoy the game

Who it’s for

• Beginners and curious first-timers
• Couples, friends and small groups
• People new to the area or just up for meeting others
• Anyone who wants a calm, inclusive atmosphere

Board gaming is a diverse and welcoming community — and we design the night that way.

Timing

6:00pm–9:00pm
We recommend arriving between 6:00–6:30pm so we can get you playing smoothly.

Tickets

• £8 when booked in advance
• £11 on the door (subject to availability)

Spaces are limited so the evening stays comfortable and properly hosted.

Food & drink

Enjoy the wide ranged menu Prospero Lounge has to offer, including their Cheeky Mondays deal - order any burger, main or salad, and get a 175ml glass of house wine, pint of Cruzcampo, soft drink or a pudding on the house!

Do I need to know board games already?
Not at all. We’ll recommend something suitable and teach you quickly.

Can I come on my own?
Yes — you’re very welcome. If you’d like, we’ll introduce you to a table.

How long do games take?
Most games we use are 20–60 minutes, so you can play one longer game or a couple of shorter ones.

Is it competitive?
It can be, but it doesn’t have to be. We’ll suggest games that match your vibe (social, relaxed, thinky, cooperative).

What if I arrive late?
You can still join, but arriving by 6:30pm gives you the best hosted experience.

Accessibility
If you have any access needs or would like a quieter table/game recommendation, drop us a note in advance and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

Refunds / changes
If you can’t make it, please cancel as early as possible so someone else can take the space. Refunds will be provided up to 48 hours before the event.
