Chris Riddell in conversation
Sat 5 Oct 2024 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Mannington Hall, NR11 7BB
Description
Chris Riddell has been described as Britain's greatest living illustrator, a title which he — being the least self-aggrandising person in publishing The Book Hive has ever known — would probably shy away from. His popularity however, speaks for itself. A three time winner of the prestigious Greenaway Medal for children's illustration, he is also a prolific writer of books, a serial collaborator with poets, story-tellers and other artists, as well as a leading political cartoonist whose searing, on-the-nose satires have skewered those in power — and especially the villainous elements of the right — for years. Chris will be in conversation about his many new projects and books, as well as his lengthy and fascinating career. And he'll be live drawing to boot... A wonderful way to kick off any Saturday morning!
