Come and join me for the second of The Book Stop Book Club sessions.
As our first event sold out so quickly I'm hosting a second event at 6.30pm on September 23rd.
Our read will be the same as our first event The Correspondent by Virginia Evans. It is a duplicate event intended for those who missed out on the first meet-up.
This is definitely not a heavy discussion where you need to arrive armed with pages of notes! I'll bring along a few questions and talking points to get us going. We can share opinions, have a good natter and enjoy meeting other readers.
If you've never been to a book club before but have often been tempted, then why not take the plunge. There are absolutely no wrong opinions about a book. In fact, some of the best book club conversations happen when we completely disagree — nicely, of course!
I've been part of book clubs for years and some of my very best friendships have come from them, so I'd love The Book Stop Book Club to become as much about friendship and community as it is about the books.
Tickets
- £5 – Book Club place only
- £15 – Book Club place + a copy of The Correspondent
If you'd like a copy of the book, please let me know. I've plenty of copies in stock now. I should be notified when you book, but please get in touch with me anyway so we can arrange a convenient time for you to collect your copy from the shop.
I'll provide complimentary tea and coffee and snacks, and you're very welcome to bring your own drink too.
I'm limiting the Book Club to just 10 people, so it'll be a small, friendly group. Just like last time places will be allocated on a first booked, first served basis.
Come along, read a good book, have a drink and let's see where the conversation takes us.
