Dara Dubh @ The Voodoo Rooms
A hometown show with the full band! Come join us in the Ballroom at The Voodoo Rooms on Saturday 20th February.
Dara Dubh is a Scotland-based Irish indie-folk-rock singer-songwriter and harpist whose songs sit somewhere between heartfelt confession and a good kick up the road. She pushes the harp well beyond its traditional home, paired with a voice that shifts from whisper-soft to unapologetically powerful without warning.
Raised on Irish trad in Ballycastle, Co. Antrim, and based in Edinburgh since 2019, Dara plays harp with live looping and bodhrán. This tour follows her debut album Go Like Crazy Big Moon, out on 20th November 2026.
Dara was nominated for Best Newcomer at the SAMAs in 2024, made The List’s Hot 100 in 2025 and had a BBC Radio Scotland Track of the Week. She has toured with Chasing Abbey, opened for BIIRD, performed at the Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony with Valtos and sold out shows across Scotland, Ireland and Italy. For this home show she’s joined onstage by her full live band.
Accessibility: The Voodoo Rooms is on the second floor and is reached by 30 steps. Unfortunately there is no step-free access and there are no accessible facilities. The building dates from around 1800 and is partly A-listed, which means alterations haven’t been possible, and a chair lift can’t be fitted because the main stairwell is also the fire escape. The venue is happy to provide seating before, during and after the show for anyone who needs it. If you would like seating reserved, please get in touch with the venue at events@thevoodoorooms.com before the show.
