Relax in the knowledge that your child is having a 'wild break', playing with friends, learning life skills and exploring their natural world, all out in the fresh air.
Sessions fees: £22 per 4 hour session. Please email for details of our sibling discount. We have some supported places available, made possible by donations from the forest school and local community. While these are limited, please do email us for details - wildandrootedcic@gmail.com.
At Bramblewood Forest School, children play together in a wild woodland space, creating games and worlds that reach far beyond, and offer much deeper learning than adult led activities can offer.
Even so, Bramblewood's high ratio of experienced adults enables us to also offer children invitations to explore new challenges according to the their own pace and curiosity. These can range from practical challenges: sawing and splitting wood, climbing high on the scramble net, building and lighting a fire to cook on, making a tree house, whittling a whistle. To conservation skills: creating homes for small animals, planting and tending trees, doing a bird count. To creative endeavours: weaving, making and using natural dyes, creative writing, singing, sculpting with clay, etc.
Altogether at the end of a session by the fire, we reflect on our time at Bramblewood, share a story or song and a snack, and make plans for our next adventures together on the following session.
