Britcon encompasses three days of competition, social and organised play together with a two-day trade show, and in 2024 will run over the Friday-Sunday of the weekend of 9-11 August, maintaining its longstanding "2nd weekend in August" date in the UK wargaming calendar.

We have a huge array of historical tournaments and "organised play" wargaming events you can take part in at Britcon, including the Warlord Games Bolt Action GT, Too Fat Lardies "Lard Workshop" as well as competitions for a host of rulesets in the Ancients, Dark Ages, Renaissance, Napoleonic and WW2 eras, as even some "historical-adjacent" (!) events for players of Middle Earth SBG and Epic. Venue:

The venue at Nottingham Trent is one of the largest and most modern (ie well lit and ventilated!) spaces that an UK Wargames convention take splace in, allowing us to stage all of the main competition events together in a single space as well as opening up a significant expansion into more non-competition gaming and a much larger trade show floor as well. Nottingham City Campus conference and event centre - see here for full details. Weekend and Daily parking for Britcon is at the car park on Talbot Street, Nottingham NG1 5GG, which is 2 minutes walk from either the venue and our onsite accommodation block in nearby student halls of residence

Entry Fee
Entry fees include early access to the venue from lunchtime on Friday for social gaming (or just socializing!), a grab-bag lunch on each weekend day your event is running, and a £5 voucher to spend with any of the traders at the Britcon Trade show over the weekend (unless otherwise noted in the info for specific rulesets). Onsite Bed & Breakfast accommodation is also bookable in nearby "student" accommodation.
