Tactics of the Self-Defense Carbine (TSDC)
Date: December 7-8, 2024 (2 days)
Time: 9:00am CT-5:00pm CT
Tuition: $550.00
The Tactics course builds upon the foundations presented in the FSDC course. In this course, the student applies skills learned to more deliberate situations. We will dive further into Defensive Mindset, and practice extreme close-quarters gun-fighting, clearing rooms, multiple threats, low-light, and more.
PREREQUISITES
Must have attended FSDC (LEVEL 1) or be a graduate of a similar course from a reputable school.
Must be at least 18 years old, and legally able to possess a firearm, or if under 18 must attend with a paying parent or legal guardian.
NOTE: an email will be sent 5 days prior to class to the address provided at booking that will include more information like waivers and range map
GEAR LIST
- An open mind
- A carbine in good working order
- A handgun in good working order
- At least 6 magazines for your carbine and 3 magazines for handgun
- 400 rounds of factory ammunition for your carbine and 50 rounds of pistol ammunition (reloads require prior approval)
- Eye Protection (Z87 certified is highly recommended)
- Hearing Protection (electronic hearing protection is ideal which aids in instruction)
- A two-point sling is recommended. 1-point slings traditionally are not conducive to our training.
- A magazine retention device that attaches to either a belt or can be carried on load bearing equipment
- Holster for handgun (SERPA type or collapsible holsters are not permitted)
- A sturdy belt that can be secured to the holster and trousers if not carrying in a thigh holster or Enigma
- A hat with a brim
- Body armor is permitted
- Knee pads and elbow pads if you intend to perform the kneeling and prone shooting positions.
- Shoes for the range. Most of our ranges are gravel and can be tiring after a day on your feet
- A cleaning kit recommended for your weapon system(s)
- Water, snacks and lunch (we will not have time to leave the range)
- Gear appropriate for the weather (ie. Sunscreen, bug spray, cold/wet weather gear)
- Note taking material
- A range bag to keep up with your equipment
- Chair

CANCELLATION POLICY AND REFUND POLICY: (CUSTOMER) To cancel your reservation, send a request to our eCommerce Coordinator at cmccarthybeadnell@thebulwarks.com. In order to receive a full refund to your original purchase method, your cancellation request must be received at least 14 days prior to the first day of the course. If your request is received after that time or you fail to attend, a refund will be issued via a voucher that is good towards another course for only ONE YEAR. (COMPANY) The Bulwarks, LLC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a course up to 14 days prior to the first day of the course for any reason. In this event, a full refund will be issued to your original purchase method. Courses are generally not affected by weather however, if staff determines that it is unsafe for instructors or students to travel, if course location is damaged, or any other unforeseen circumstances occur, the course may be rescheduled. In the event The Bulwarks reschedules a course, tickets will be refunded via voucher that students can use towards the rescheduled course or another course.
