Matt DickinsonFenix Marine Services

Matt works at the intersection of climate action, heavy industry, and systems change. As Sustainability Director at Fenix Marine Services in the Port of Los Angeles, he focuses on turning ambitious decarbonization goals into practical, real-world solutions within one of the most energy-intensive sectors of the global economy: marine container terminals. His work centers on reducing emissions at scale, transitioning legacy equipment and infrastructure away from fossil fuels, and proving that zero-emissions technologies can operate reliably in demanding industrial environments. Under his leadership, Fenix has implemented renewable fuels, advanced electrification strategies, and early deployments of hydrogen equipment—helping demonstrate what’s possible when climate commitments are treated as operational imperatives rather than long-term aspirations.
