About this event

If you're interested in taking part in this year's Carbon Literacy Action Day (CLAD) but unsure how to begin your organisation's journey with the Carbon Literacy Project, come along to this event to find out how you can get involved in further detail and answer any questions.

This thirty-minute event is designed to provide you with the information you need to get your organisation involved with the Carbon Literacy Project and deliver Carbon Literacy training, ready for the Action Day taking place on Thursday 14th November.

This is an informal event aimed at organisations that are completely new to the Carbon Literacy Project. Group sizes will be kept small to ensure attendees have the opportunity to ask questions.

What is the Carbon Literacy Action Day?

The annual International Carbon Literacy Action Day is the world’s largest climate education and action training event.

It offers an opportunity for as many learners as possible from all walks of life, organisations, sectors, backgrounds and nations all around the world, to complete their Carbon Literacy training simultaneously on a single day.

The Action Day will take place on Thursday 14th of November 2024, coinciding with COP29 – the largest climate event of the year. And so, while world leaders gather to discuss and negotiate on climate policy in Dubai, Carbon Literacy learners will be on-the-ground learning, collaborating and becoming empowered to take impactful action on climate change.

The Action Day is fully inclusive and open to all, and on the 14th of November 2024, we hope to witness thousands of people from all walks of life, and all around the world, participate and complete their days’ worth of Carbon Literacy training – but we can’t achieve this without you.

If you are interested in taking part or wish to find out more and are unable to attend this event, please register your interest via this Action Day 2024 Sign-up Form and we will provide you with a comprehensive guide with key information on what the Action Day is and how you can successfully take part.

About The Carbon Literacy Project

The Carbon Literacy Project offers everyone a day’s worth of Carbon Literacy® learning, covering – climate change, carbon footprints, how you can do your bit, and why it’s relevant to you and your audience. Carbon Literacy is not merely an organisational initiative; it's a global imperative. As nations grapple with the repercussions of climate change, fostering a deep understanding of carbon impacts becomes essential for individuals and businesses alike. The Carbon Literacy Project and its partners have developed a growing range of sectoral courses and materials to make it easier and simpler to adopt Carbon Literacy including for the Automotive, Civil Service, Healthcare, Universities & Colleges, Sports, SMEs, Museums and other Cultural sectors, Local Authorities and Social Housing sectors. We are actively advancing our efforts in diverse sectors, including Finance, Digital and Tech, Built Environment, Fashion, and Community development. Join us for CLAD and explore how to integrate climate action into day-to-day activities and decision-making.
