Kate MacLeod on fiddle with Paul Hammerton on guitar

Kate and Paul will take you on a musical adventure of Old-Time fiddle playing by learning a new tune or two, and honing some fiddle skills. Rhythm, shuffles, tone, chords, and technique will likely all be explored during the workshop. Guitar players can also gain insight as Kate and Paul exhibit how the guitar and fiddle work together. After the workshop, Kate and Paul will be performing at The River House with a full band: Kate MacLeod’s Mind the Gap.

Review for Kate’s original fiddle tune recording - Deep in the Sound of Terra:

“Would you believe me if I told you that the best fiddle music album of the year was made by a woman who hails from Washington, DC and now lives in Utah? You should…This album is as brilliant as it is thoughtful…If you like music salted with hints of Celtic, Bluegrass, and Old-Time music, you're going to love this one.”
