Old-Time Stringband - Youth Ensemble Course

The Cat and The Fiddle ensemble courses are weekly classes that run for 5–6 weeks and are open to students in grades 3–12. The tuition is $90 per student, which includes all classes in the course. For students already receiving a Karper Creatives Scholarship, tuition is fully covered.

Led by Dakota Karper, this six‑week ensemble class is open to all string instruments and focuses on learning Old‑Time Stringband music. Students will learn classic fiddle tunes, how to play rhythm and backup parts, and how to fit into a traditional stringband sound. The class is a fun and supportive space to play together, build repertoire, and experience the joy of Old‑Time music in a group setting.
