The Alchemy of Fragments
A Chai & Mosaic Evening at The Alchemy Experiment: An evening of material, process, and quiet transformation.
Join Mosaic Artist Sara Melville and Chai Connoisseur Aneeqa Malik for an evening where chai becomes ritual, and fragments become form. Through a sensory tea experience and a collaborative mosaic session, you’ll take part in a shared act of making - one that values process as much as outcome.

THE INTENTION
Studies in social psychology show that creating together can help people connect, lower stress, and build a sense of belonging. With this in mind, Sara Melville Mosaics and Chai Thesis invite you to explore the space between fragment and form, where we arrange and reimagine pieces together while enjoying chai and herbal blends.
We call this a 'pause': a guided tasting of hand-selected teas, shared in quiet presence and gentle storytelling. It offers a chance to step away from the noise and reconnect with yourself. You don’t need any experience to make mosaics—just bring yourself.
We hope you’ll join us for this special evening of creativity and connection.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
Through a guided chai ritual, you’ll explore the sensory depth of spice, warmth, and slowing down. As the evening unfolds, Sara will lead a collaborative mosaic-making session, where each participant craft their own artwork — a reflection of connection, imperfection, and beauty in the making. Set within the unique, atmospheric space of The Alchemy Experiment, you’ll be led through:
- A sensory chai ritual exploring spices, warmth, and presence
- A guided mosaic-making session, where each guest creates a piece to take home with them
This is more than a workshop, it’s an invitation to slow down, connect, and create meaning together.
✨ No experience is needed
✨ All materials will be provided
✨ Leave with a deeper sense of connection (and a little chai warmth), and your own mosaic creation

Aneeqa Malik is the co-founder of The Chai Thesis, an integral, holistic healing practice situated at the intersection of herbalism, cultural storytelling, and community-based wellbeing. Her work draws on ancestral knowledge systems and positions chai as both a cultural artefact and a relational practice that facilitates connection, reflection, and collective experience. Emerging from a deeply personal inquiry into identity, ancestral healing, and inner transformation, The Chai Thesis has evolved into a broader exploration of ritual, embodiment, and the role of traditional practices in contemporary wellbeing.
Aneeqa’s professional background spans transformation management across multiple sectors, with a particular focus on societal regeneration, systems thinking, and community-centred approaches. Her work engages with questions of how individuals and communities cultivate resilience, meaning, and connection within increasingly fragmented and digitised environments.
