For this event you can choose between these different surfaces: Wood, Reusable surfaces, & Pillow Covers. The wood surfaces come in many different sizes & styles. Designs & surfaces are listed on the website: www.thechalkshop.com. This will help deciding on a surface. You do not have to decide on a design until the class, however, the website will help you get an idea of what the transfers look like. If you have a specific design in mind, please get in touch with me prior to make sure it is possible for me to make prior to the class.

And here's how the class goes: Once you have decided on your surface and purchased your ticket, you will come to the shop in clothes you may not mind getting paint or stain on. Aprons are available for you to wear also. Please also bring any snacks or beverage you would like to have during the class. After getting settled, you will pick out your design and stain choice for your wood surface. If working with wood, you will sand the edges, start to stain your surface (wearing gloves of course) and then applying a thin layer of wax to your board if needed. I then explain how to apply the transfers and chalk paste/ink to complete your project. If this is an outdoor project you will finish it off with a layer of polyurethane.

*If you are wanting a custom design, this must be sent to me AT LEAST 24 hours prior to the class, and also click the additional custom fee with your surface ticket.

A few things to remember during classes: give yourself time to complete your project, have patience with yourself, mistakes are usually happy mistakes - and most of the time only you notice them, seats are limited so please purchase a ticket ahead of time, and lastly, HAVE FUN!
