For thoughtful humans intentionally building community

Ready to upgrade your people skills and make real human connections? To have a rich social community of people who make you laugh and care about you - not just coworkers, small talk buddies and followers? This is more than a social workshop—it's a space for practicing the art of conversation, exploring who you are socially, and meeting others doing the same.

Hosted by ICF-Certified Authenticity Coach Amy Zhou, this gathering blends practical social skill-building with cozy bookstore vibes. Perfect for:

  • Adults making adult friends in a world that seems designed against it
  • People-facing professionals wanting to sharpen their social presence
  • Socially awkward/anxious queens & kings 👑
  • Curious learners craving intentional connection

🎉 What’s Included:

1. The Charisma Workshop (60–90 mins)

Led by Amy, this interactive, beginner-friendly workshop helps you design a social presence that feels like you.

We’ll explore tools like:

  • Asking powerful questions that spark deep conversation
  • Telling compelling stories
  • Navigating boundaries with grace

This workshop will be focused on the ever-charged "so tell me about yourself" question. Drawing from the Hero's Journey model and storytelling practices, this is about telling the story of you!

You’ll leave with:

  • A connection-warming icebreaker
  • A mini-masterclass with room to go deeper
  • A practical exercise to try with your peers (safe space vibes)
  • Powerful live coaching demo with a peer
  • A confidence boost that sticks

Optional: Bring your favorite notebook—paper and markers will also be provided!

2. The Bookstore Social (30–60 mins)

After the workshop, slow down with quiet conversation and shared presence. Chat with someone new, browse a book, or simply exist among thoughtful company.

📍Hosted at Phoenix Books, a cozy, woman-owned bookstore in NDG that supports local Quebec artists (and has $1+ used book finds!). Our workshop will be held between the philosophy & literature aisles (yes that's an Easter egg about how the workshop will feel 😊)

This is a safe space 🌈

It's going to be a lot of fun

"I feel like I'm in a Hallmark movie, sitting in a cozy bookstore while it rains outside having a workshop with nice people" - Susan

"This has changed the way I see silence. I used to think it was an enemy but now I see it more like a friend who I walk beside" - Sara

"I was at the workshop yesterday at Phoenix and I loved it! I plan to go again and I think only a 911 emergency will stop me." - Annie
