2026 Drakes Island Swim in aid of the Chestnut Appeal

Sunday 20^th September swim time 1130am

If you’ve ever looked out from Plymouth and wanted to get closer to mysterious Drakes Island, then this is the swim for you.

The swim starts on the beach at Firestone Bay, with swimmers setting out for the Island, round a marker buoy and making their way back to the beach a distance of around 1.5km.

Registration for the swim is now open and costs £35.

The cost of your entry ticket helps us cover the essential expenses of running the event, including the work of our fantastic water safety team.

The money you raise through GivenGain goes directly towards supporting the charity’s current aims, and we encourage all swimmers to set themselves a fundraising target of £50.
