Act Now, Change Forever: What Happens Next? Developing a Campaign Action Plan

So you took part in the Act Now, Change Forever Mass Lobby - what do you do next? The Mass Lobby was an incredible opportunity to bring people together from all corners of the UK, create new connections, win commitments from MPs and everything in between. We should all feel proud for taking part.

This collective moment in history is a step in the journey to securing real, lasting change, together. At Hope for the Future and The Climate Coalition, we know that shaping a future that’s healthier, fairer and more secure for all requires developing long-term, sustainable partnerships with our MPs that allow us to continue building confidence and strength, and holding our politicians to promises they made on the day. That's why we see the Mass Lobby not as the end goal of our strategy, but rather, its launch pad.

In this facilitated workshop, we’ll be working together as a group to co-develop an example campaign strategy and action plan. The session will cover:

• Developing a campaign strategy with meaningful key asks and a route map to achieving them

• Integrating political engagement into your strategy to utilise both inside and outside track campaigning

• Incorporating your wider community into your campaign in order to build outwards – utilising a ‘Power Mapping’ tool to do so – and demonstrating local support for your goal

You’ll also hear from others who took part in the Mass Lobby and get a chance to connect with others who share a vision for a fairer future. This is your opportunity to develop new skills, build your power, and take ongoing meaningful action – together.

This training session is for people who attended the Act Now, Change Forever Mass Lobby and are motivated to develop longer term approaches to campaigning and MP engagement (please note it is not a prerequisite to have attended previous training).
