We'll also hear insights from previous organisers, who will share their experiences and top tips to help you get started. We'll hear from:

Laura, from EcoDewi/St Davids Peninsula Great Big Green Week
Laura is a volunteer Director & Chair of EcoDewi CIC in St Davids, Pembrokeshire. EcoDewi’s aim is to deliver projects that will help to tackle the climate emergency and biodiversity crisis, whilst simultaneously improving community wellbeing on the St Davids Peninsula; for us it’s about local people, helping with local issues and benefiting our local natural environment. Initially a Community Group, EcoDewi became a Community Interest Company in 2023 in order to grow and deliver more projects as well as create local employment opportunities. EcoDewi has spearheaded Great Big Green Week in Pembrokeshire since it first started in 2021, and for the past three years Laura has overseen and managed the week's activities growing it to a point where nearly 1,300 people took part in 2025.

Sarah, from The Springfield Project/Growing Up Green family festival
Sarah is Chief Executive Officer of The Springfield Project, a community organisation in Sparkhill, providing a range of services and activities for children, young people and adults. As part of their 'Sparkhill - Child Friendly Neighbourhood' programme they have been involved with Great Big Green Week for a number of years and have run the 'Growing Up Green Festival' in Sparkhill Park since 2024.
