Want to know how you can get your local politicians involved in your Great Big Green Week activities?
Whether you’re new to Great Big Green Week, or have taken part before but never invited your local politicians along to your activities, this session will help you think about how you can engage with your politicians during Great Big Green Week for the first time.
As part of Great Big Green Week 2026, people all over the UK are going to be hosting events that showcase what communities are doing to take action for people, climate and nature and why we care.
These events are also an important opportunity to engage your local politicians and put climate and nature at the heart of political discussions, raise awareness about key issues, and show decision makers that we’re standing together for the future of our planet and people.
This online session will be run by The Climate Coalition and Hope for the Future, we'll be covering things like:
how to make the invite to your politician stand out and sound compelling
the types of events you can run, and how you can involve your local politicians
the impact that engaging with your politicians during Great Big Green Week can have
There will also be an opportunity for you to ask your pressing questions on how to involve politicians in your events and share your own stories, tips, and guidance.
This event will be taking place on Zoom, and closed captioning will be enabled. If you have any other accessibility requirements, please let us know in advance in the sign up form.
