Local Climate Action Survey 2026 Workshop: Findings & What's Next

In spring 2026, The Climate Coalition (TCC) commissioned an independent survey, run by Community Environment Associates (CEA), into local climate-related activity by groups, networks, and centres across England. 155 local organisations responded, and the resulting report offers a unique view of local climate activity nationwide.

This online workshop will cover the report's key findings and recommendations on supporting local action. We'll start by setting out the trends we found across the country and invite your feedback, then discuss the recommendations going to TCC and ask whether they ring true for you. This session is open to everyone — whether you took part in the survey, you work with a local group or network, or are simply interested in local climate action, you're welcome to join.

At a time when the rise of the far right threatens the political consensus on climate and nature, it's vital that groups like yours can work together and get the support you need to use limited resources well. We hope this report helps strengthen that collective work.
