The Regulars: The details that earn loyalty, referrals and reputation
Share this event
Everyone wants to be the one they carry a table in for.
That feeling has a name. Regulars are the clients who come back, send their friends, and tell your story for you. That loyalty is earned through the experience: the process, the basics, and the details that make the difference.
The Regulars is a panel on the craft behind that experience, made for real estate agents and open to every business owner and leader whose business grows through relationships. It brings together a legendary restaurateur, a top Eastside real estate team lead, and HomeLight’s head of retail partnerships: Mark Canlis, Mike Pavone, and Kim Tanner.
Expect good stories, candid answers, and a few questions most panels skip.
ON THE TABLE
- The moments clients retell for years, and how to create them on purpose
- The unglamorous basics that quietly win or lose a client
- How to lead a seamless experience when you don’t control every part
- How to make exceptional service consistent, without losing the personal touch
- How to make your value clear before anyone asks
THE PANEL
Mark Canlis
Owner, Canlis
Mark is the third generation of his family to run Canlis, the Seattle restaurant welcoming guests since 1950. Alongside multiple James Beard nominations for Outstanding Service, Canlis took the second spot on Food & Wine’s list of America’s best restaurants in 2025. Its philosophy of turning toward one another is now the subject of a Harvard Business School case. He brings an insider’s perspective on what it takes to keep a Seattle institution both timeless and surprising.
Mike Pavone
Managing Broker and Co-founder, Pavone Kinzler | Windermere
Mike co-founded the Pavone Kinzler Team, ranked among the top 5% of brokers in Washington in 2025, with more than $400 million in total sales. A Bellevue native and UW graduate, he came to real estate through remodeling and construction, developing an eye for details others miss. Alongside Eric Kinzler, he delivers a two-agents-for-one experience for clients across Seattle and the Eastside.
Kim Tanner
Head of Retail Partnerships, HomeLight
Kim helps lending partners like CrossCountry Mortgage give their loan officers solutions that win clients and set them apart. With more than a decade spanning credit unions, brokerage, and HomeLight’s origination, funding, and sales teams, she’s seen a loan from every angle. Her motto, “we can work it out,” reflects her approach: find the solution and follow through. Off the clock, she’s camping, gardening, or finding another reason to get outside.
