The Cook’s Walk – Malton’s Ultimate Food & Culture Tour

Discover Malton like never before. Join Gilly, founder of The Cook’s Place, for a behind-the-scenes walking tour packed with incredible food, local stories, and hidden gems.

Sip artisan coffee, taste award-winning treats, and explore Malton’s best - from independent breweries and cheesemongers to bakeries, delis, and more. Along the way, uncover the town’s rich history, vibrant food scene, and unique character.

The Walk will finish with an exclusive experience, meeting a local food hero while enjoying a freshly prepared dish and delicious sweet treats. Our artisan food hero will be Jane Birch from Yorkshire Wolds Apple Juice Co., and she will join us and share food stories whilst Gilly cooks a light lunch with the most delicious produce. 

Yorkshire Wolds Apple Juice Co. prides itself on pressing 100% English fruit, in small batches using traditional methods, to produce a range of multi award-winning, naturally delicious, artisan juices, mouth-watering syrups and cordial.

Produced seasonally when each fruit is at its most delicious, their fruits are picked and foraged locally, or bought from local Yorkshire farmers alongside traditional varieties of apples and pears from English growers that would otherwise go to waste. Inspired by seasonal flavours it’s the English fruit that makes their juices burst with flavours and fruit goodness and the range of 14 juices means there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Your Walk starts at 10.30am at The Cook’s Place, and will finish with a light bite at around 2.30pm – giving plenty of time to explore all of this wonderful market town.
