CBP Spring Dinner Party

Thu May 28, 2026 6:00 PM - 10:30 PM 5525 W 56th Ave Suite 400 Arvada, CO 80002

At The Curated Barrel Project (CBP), we’re not just pouring whiskey—we’re creating the table worth drinking it at.

And the best way we know how to do that? Dinner parties.

But not the old stodgy whiskey pairing dinners you’ve been to before.

These are something else entirely.

Each quarterly release is brought to life through an intimate, three-course pairing dinner—curated in collaboration with local award-winning chefs and designed to blur the line between food, whiskey, and storytelling. It’s elevated, a little unexpected, and built to create the kind of nights people talk about long after the last pour. — and for this one, we've got someone leading the kitchen that we're genuinely fired up about.

Meet Chef Manny Barella, Co-Owner of Riot BBQ and Chicken Riot, and James Beard Emerging Chef Semi-Finalist.

Chef Manny Barella

Born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, Manny left law school to pursue his true passion — and never looked back. His journey took him through some of the most prestigious kitchens in the country: the luxury Sea Island Resort in Georgia, the five-star Calistoga Ranch in Napa Valley, and Napa's Michelin-rated Solage Resort.

A taste for adventure brought him to Colorado, where he cooked at the James Beard award-winning Frasca Food & Wine in Boulder, then Uchi in Denver, and eventually became Executive Chef and Partner at Bellota — earning a James Beard Award semifinalist nod for Emerging Chef in 2022. In spring 2024, he competed on Season 21 of Bravo's Top Chef, finishing in the top five among 16 of the best chefs in the nation.

Today, Manny brings his vision full circle as co-owner and chef of Riot BBQ in Denver — a concept built around wood-fired meats and bold Mexican flavors — and Chicken Riot, his brand new Cherry Creek spot focused on the pollo asado traditions of his childhood, which opened just this past March. He cooks with fire, soul, and authenticity. And on May 28th, he's cooking for you.

Throughout the evening the drinks and food will be woven together into a progression that’s as much about connection as it is about flavor.

Seats are limited.

Come hungry. Leave with a story.
