Carvoeiro Tennis & Padel Camp - July 2026

16-19 July | Game. Set. Match. Come improve your tennis, play some padel whilst exploring the beauty of the Portuguese Algarve

Trade the melting streets of London for the Atlantic ocean, coastal walks, and sunshine in beautiful Carvoeiro, Portugal. This tennis & padel camp is all about golden evenings and laid-back Algarve energy alongside some good rallies on the courts. With expert coaching, friendly matches, and plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow LSE alumni, it’s the perfect escape to recharge, improve your game, and soak up the Portuguese sun.

The Dam Social Club creates experiences for LSE alumni and friends to escape the everyday, strengthen old friendships, and build new ones along the way. The social club is run by LSE alumni, for LSE alumni.

What’s Included

• 3 nights in a private villa with a pool and jacuzzi
• 5 hours of group tennis & Padel coaching (2 hours/day for 2 days, 1 hour final day)
• 4 hours of social tennis freestyle/matchplay (2 hours/day for 2 days)
• Airport transfers from Faro (check specified times)
• Daily breakfast
• Welcome dinner
• Shuttle to and from the beach/town centre

Flights

Flights are to be self organised.

Outbound

Our shuttle will be leaving from Faro International Airport (FAO) at 16:30 arriving at our hotel around 17:30. Recommended outbound flights include:

• Easyjet - 12:05 (LTN) - 15:00 (FAO) - Will is taking this flight

Inbound

The shuttle will depart the private villa at 12:45 time, arriving back at Faro International Airport at around 13:45. Recommended inbound flights include:

• Easyjet - 16:15 (FAO) - 19:05 (LTN) - Will is taking this flight

Tennis

We’ve organised a mix of tennis and padel across the long weekend:

Morning Group Tennis/Padel Lessons

Each morning there will be an hour tennis lesson and an hour padel lesson

• 8:30am–10:30am (subject to change)

Afternoon Freestyle & Padel

In the afternoons, the local tennis courts to the villa will be booked for optional freestyle play. 

Private Lessons

Private lessons can be added on, scheduled around the main group itinerary. These can be arranged on arrival.

Rackets

High-quality tennis/padel rackets from brands such as Head, Wilson, and Babolat will be provided. You’re welcome/encouraged to bring your own.

Location

The Colina da Lapa & Villas is a well-regarded 4-star retreat situated in Sesmarias, just a short distance from the charming coastal hubs of Carvoeiro and Ferragudo in the Algarve. We will be a 15-20-minute walk from the Carvoeiro tennis & padel club, and a 5-10 minute cab from the Carvoeiro town centre/beach.

The Colina resort have a free shuttle to the beach/town centre.

Accommodation

We will be staying in the Colina Da Lapa Jacuzzi Villa which not only features a private pool like all the other villas, but also a separate Jacuzzi which is perfect for relaxing tired muscles after a day of tennis, padel and walking around.

Rooms are arranged as twin bedrooms.
