12-15 November | Game. Set. Match. Come improve your tennis whilst exploring the magic of Maspalomas

After popular demand, we have decided to launch another edition our our tennis camps. This time, this LSE alumni tennis camps will also be open to the US Alumni Club (USAC) which is a club for people who studied at a US university who now live in Great Britain.

Escape the cold November chills and improve your tennis game on in the sunny Gran Canaria. This tennis camp is all about sunshine, serves, and sand dunes. A warm-weather tennis getaway next to Maspalomas. With expert coaching, friendly games, and a chance to connect with fellow LSE alums, this is the perfect late-November pick-me-up.

• 4.5 hours of group tennis coaching (1.5 hours/day for 3 days)

Flights

Flights are to be self organised.

Outbound

Our group coach transport will be leaving from Gran Canaria (LPA) airport at 18:00 arriving at our hotel around 19:00. Recommended outbound flights include:

• Easyjet - 12:55 (LTN) - 17:30 (LPA) - Shuttle is arranged for this flight

Inbound

We will depart the bungalows at 15:30 time, arriving back at Gran Canaria Airport at 16:15. Recommended inbound flights include:

• Easyjet - 18:40 (LPA) - 23:05 (LTN) - Shuttle is arranged for this flight

Tennis

We’ve organised a mix of tennis options across the long weekend:

Morning Group Lessons

Each morning there will be two group sessions. Players will be grouped by ability level to ensure the right fit for each session. You will either play:

• 10:00–11:30am
• 11:30–1:00pm

Whilst you are not playing you can relax, swim and explore the local area.

Afternoon Freestyle

In the afternoons, the courts are booked 5-7pm for optional freestyle play. This could include friendly games, serving practice, games or other uses. Coaches will be on hand to supervise and offer light-touch advice.

Private Lessons

Private lessons can be added on, scheduled around the main group itinerary. The times will be confirmed closer to the time.

Rackets

High-quality rackets from brands such as Head, Wilson, and Babolat will be provided in Gran Canaria. You’re welcome to bring your own, though please note there may be a small fee for bringing personal sports equipment with airlines as they usually are required to be put in the hold.

Location

Our accomodation, Cordial Biarritz Bungalows, is located in Maspalomas. We will be less than a 2-minute walk from the tennis courts, and a short stroll from some great sights, spots and the iconic Maspalomas sand dunes.

Accommodation

We will be staying in the superior bungalows at the Cordial Biarritz resort. Private two bedroom bungalows in a garden setting with a pool, jacuzzi, palm trees and other amenities.

• Two separate bedrooms with two beds (2 x 100 cm x 200 cm) in each room
• Climatisation and ceiling fans in living room and bedrooms
• Telephone (extra charge), safe and free WiFi
• Living room with sofa bed and Sat-TV
