WOOLWICH AREA LAY CONFERENCE 2025

The 6^th Woolwich Area Lay Conference will take place on Saturday 5^th April 2025 at Ark All Saints Academy, Camberwell from 10am to 4pm.

The keynote speakers will be Kemi Bamgbose, national lead officer for Thy Kingdom Come (the season of prayer between Ascension & Pentecost) and Natalie Walters, Head of Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) at the Diocese of Southwark. These sessions will be set in the context of praise and prayer.

Between the two main sessions there will be an opportunity for participants to attend two workshops covering a range of topics from reading the Bible, everyday discipleship and church history through modern slavery, environment and net zero and debt and social cohesion to affirmed lay ministries, estates ministry and dedicated work with older people and children and young people.

There will also be a number of market stalls offering helpful information and opportunities to share ideas and find out what works and what’s on offer. And an opportunity to talk further over lunch together. (Lunch will be provided).

This is a great opportunity for established and emerging lay leaders from across the Woolwich Episcopal Area to meet with each other in fellowship for the building up and equipping of the Body of Christ.

This is a free ticketed event, so book early to avoid disappointment! Tickets will be available until midnight on Sunday 23 March. Although this is a free event, we suggest a voluntary donation of £5 per person which you will be able to give at the event by card or cash.

We are unable to accommodate individual dietary requirements but the simple lunch will include vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options. If you have specific dietary requirements that we are not able to cater for please bring a packed lunch.
