ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE
When the glaciers retreated at the end of the last Ice Age, they left behind an extraordinary network of rivers, lakes and wetlands stretching across the heart of North America.
Today, these prairie wetlands form vital water highways for millions of migrating birds.
Wings Over Water follows three remarkable species, the Sandhill Crane, Yellow Warbler and Mallard Duck, through their astonishing migrations, courtship, survival and return to the wetlands where they raise their young.
Narrated by Michael Keaton, the film reveals a landscape filled with enormous bird migrations, bison, grasslands, wildflowers and wildlife, while showing how closely the survival of these animals is connected to the future of North America's wetlands.
THE DOME EXPERIENCE
Soar with migrating birds across our 65-foot dome screen as enormous landscapes sweep over and around you.
From spectacular Sandhill Crane gatherings to tiny Yellow Warblers crossing thousands of miles and Mallards racing across the continent, Wings Over Water was created specifically for giant-screen presentation.
Sound and Score
With 20,000 watts of immersive theatre sound, wings, storms, wetlands and wildlife surround the audience. The score is composed by Gil Talmi, with sound design by Brian Eimer.
Seating and Viewing
Like IMAX and premium cinemas, the dome has a visual sweet spot near the center of the room. Seats toward the outer edges and corners have steeper viewing angles and a less balanced image. To experience the film as intended, arrive early and choose seats near the middle of the theatre.
Seating is first-come, first-served, so late arrivals may end up in edge seating with a compromised viewing angle.
