The Identity of the Supervisor – Deepening Your Supervision Philosophy (Online)
Fri 26 Jul 2024 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM BST
Online, Zoom
Description
An exciting new annual CPD day for supervisors who work with ECPT trainees focused on the continuing development of your skills, knowledge and identity in the supervisor role.
Take this opportunity to step back from being immersed in supervision practice and consider how your identity as a supervisor has emerged and changed since you started this work.
- How do you do what you do as a supervisor?
- What informs and nourishes you in your role?
- What challenges have you faced and how have they deepened your sense of self in supervision?
- What are the key areas where you want to go further in building your knowledge and skills – neurodiversity, power and difference, spirituality, working with the body in supervision, assessment roles in supervision, barriers to effective supervision…..?
- How can you tap into the ECPT community of supervisors to support you in building your professional tribe?
There will be a short session to exchange information and respond to your questions about the training programmes offered at ECPT, and then facilitated reflection, experiential exploration and discussion on key themes. The day offers you 6 hours of CPD to add to your professional development logs.
Facilitator: Barbara Clarkson TSTA, UKCP registered Psychotherapist & Recognised Training Supervisor
Barbara has been teaching and supervising for over 20 years and is passionate about each person developing their individual identity and sense of themselves as supervisor and practitioner.
