Tue 1 Oct 2024 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM BST
Online, Zoom
Description
DESCRIPTION
Covid 19 has required many of us to adapt to the ways in which we work. Many Counsellors, Therapist and Health Care professionals are now taking their practice online. This may be working via the telephone or by using online media such as Teams and Zoom.
Whether you have no experience or some experience of working online, this can feel daunting.
In response to talking to many Counsellors and Therapist over the past couple of years, we have created a comprehensive workshop to enable you to feel confident and capable of working in this new way!
The workshop will cover many aspects of online working and includes a short assessment and self-directed learning to be completed after the training. Upon completion you will be able to request a certificate of competency for online working via The Ellesmere Centre for Psychotherapy Training. The workshop sits within the new working online frameworks set out by both UKCP and BACP.
The workshop outline is as follows:
- Welcome
- Definition
- Technology
- Environment
- Contracting
- Ethical Issues
- BACP/UKCP framework for working online
- Pro’s and Con’s of online working
- Managing Risk
- Common Mistakes
- Client and Therapist experience
- Self-Directed Learning Questions.
The workshop will be delivered by Stewart Scarr.
