What to Expect
Many papers and articles discuss the need for emotion regulation but few go into the science of what this means and how therapists can use it. In this entertaining workshop delegates will find out how emotional intensity can be increased or decreased under our conscious control.
In this three-hour evening session, participants will learn:
- Emotion Regulation - what it is and how to use it in a therapy session?
- The link between an inability to regulate emotion and the problems clients bring to therapy.
The session will include a demonstration role play and interactive exercises.
This event supports ECPT’s new Access Fund. All surplus from ticket sales goes toward widening participation for underrepresented groups in psychotherapy training.
