The Empathogen Experience

  • What does it mean to “make sense” of reality?
  • Do you have more than five senses?
  • How do you develop your sensory aperture?
  • What is the relationship between cultivating states of awe and purpose?
  • How does training your nervous system impact public health?
  • How does your use of technology impact your sense of aliveness?

The Empathogen Experience explores these questions through a 90-minute guided to 2 hour (discussion length dependent), interactive, experiential meditation on sensory perception, combining contemplative art and sound. No meditation experience is required.

“Empathogen” commonly refers to therapeutics that evoke deep states of connected empathy. Stein’s award-winning Empathogen Series explores how nature-based meditation teaches us to access these same states of loving awe — through the cultivation of our own senses, completely sober.

Small group experience (up to 12 guests per session).

Samantha Rose Stein is a journalist and multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the relationship between technology, nature, and mysticism in shaping consciousness. Her neuroaesthetic painted works connect viewers and collectors with an ongoing visual meditative practice.

Her artistic creative practice emerged from a deep study of meditation traditions, and a translation of these practices into abstract form. They are part of a larger body of work focused on integration, the regular practice of bridging insight with aligned action. She considers herself to be a “healing artist” using creative practice as a means to connect to a deeper sense of purpose.

Her work has been called “the symbol of the sacramental law movement” by Harvard Law, and has been featured at the National Press Club’s Federal Summit on Psychedelic Medicine. She has sat on clinical advisory boards related to psychedelic medicine in Austin, Texas, and developed integration protocols for post-op care.
