Presenter Bio's -
Matt Steele
Matt is an ordained Anglican minister and spent around 20 years in various parish ministry roles around Sydney's Inner West. He's always been fascinated by human behaviour, beginning his working life in market research before shifting into ministry. More recently, a new season in life has provided space to study Bowen Family Systems Theory. As well as being a stay at home dad and serving at his local church Matt now blogs and coaches through his business, changeroom, as he seeks to help people function more effectively in ministry and everyday life.
Thomas Lai
Thomas is married with two children and currently the Youth Pastor for the Chinese Christian Church and has 9 years of pastoral experience. Thomas is currently completing the Advanced Certificate at the Family Systems Institute and aiming to be trained and accredited by the Australia Association of Family Therapy (AAFT) in the next couple of years. Thomas is interested in this area because he feels families in society are struggling to cope for many different reasons which impacts both the parents and the children. Thomas's aim is to help families to be more aware of themselves and for them to heal, reconcile, forgive and better relate with one another even during a stressful point in their lives.
Wajma Ebrahimi
Wajma has been practising psychology for over a decade and has been running a busy group practice in the Hills district of Sydney. While she has been thinking and applying systems to her clinical work for the past few years, the Bowen lens has become most prominent for Wajma in the last 2 years.
