The Advanced group will consider their own tension points in holding onto systems thinking – where each notices getting caught in paradigms that are directed at changing/fixing others rather than working on Diff of Self.
Each member will present once to the group. Presentations will reflect on these tension points and show how revisiting relevant theory adds to awareness and understanding.
This will be a small group of ideally 4 people who are motivated to take on the rigour of deeper immersion in the integration and application of B theory. Each person will choose one focussed topic to prepare and present to the group- relevant to awareness of a tension in holding systems thinking. –it can be applied to work examples, to family of origin, current nuclear family or other relationship systems – It will involve drawing on Bowen’s FTCP primary sources applied to facts of functioning in their chosen domain. Jenny will present an example at the 1st meeting and invite discussion about tensions people have in holding systems thinking – where do they observe slippage – how can they draw on theory to get clearer about this tension?
