W.I.T.C.H. (We Intend To Cause Havoc) were the biggest rock band in Zambia in the 1970s and spearheaded a new genre dubbed Zamrock, fusing influences that ranged from the Rolling Stones to Black Sabbath and James Brown and mixing them with traditional African rhythms and bush village songs. At t the peak of their popularity, the band often needed police to keep fans at bay while their lead singer Jagari - whose name is an Africanisation of Mick Jagger’s - riled up crowds by stage diving from balconies and dancing manically as the WITCH’s blend of psychedelic rock and African rhythms permeated the surrounding atmosphere.

From the psych pop of "Cabinet of Curiosities" and "Hypnophobia" to the immersive electronic journey of 'Somnium', Jacco Gardner's fascination with technology has brought him to his new side-project: Metius. Conceived in his Antwerp studio, the same creative lair where he produced the recently released "Zango" by WITCH, Metius resonates as Gardner's symbiotic discourse with machinery, and a love letter to past musical epochs. This exploration culminated in the release of Metius' first EP, "Computered Visions".

Nolan Potter’s Nightmare Band is an eclectic brainchild of musical innovation crafted by composer, bandleader, and multi-instrumentalist virtuoso Nolan Potter. Founded in 2018, the group flourished within the Austin, Texas live music scene as they captured a sound rife with raw passion and palpable symphonic scholarship. Their debut album Nightmare Forever (2019) garnered widespread praise, with John Dwyer of The Oh Sees lauding the work as “conceptual in feel and flow” with a war machine duality that “surpasses expectations and fucking crushes.”
