In a time of confusion and hostility among humanity, the Gods sent their only son - Viben - down to the Earth, hoping to bring about a new understanding. Upon his entrance through the stratosphere, Viben immediately plummeted to the bottom of the ocean, where his interactions with the creatures of the sea taught him a submersible musical language, Scuba Funk. Equipped with only Scuba Funk, Viben surfaces to bring this sound to the humans of earth, optimistic that the language of the sea can also heal the wounds of humanity.
Formed in Austin, TX, Los Alcos Familia Banda blends Latin-Psych, Space-Funk, & Groovy-Rock into a spicy, energetic fusion.
Souls Extolled-- a psychedelic metal prog marriage of Ozzy with Rancid, injected with way positive vibes.
Supported by Austin Emerging Arts Leaders, an organization composed of passionate local arts practitioners, administrators, and advocates offering professional development opportunities and inclusive community building to support the sustainability of a broader, more diverse creative ecosystem in Austin.
