DESCRIPTION

Ongoing advice and how to evidence it has become a hot topic in recent months.

In December, the FCA expressed concerns that some consumers were not receiving an annual review despite paying for one and, in February, they requested annual review data from around 20 of the largest advice firms.

Later that month, SJP announced they were setting aside over £420m for possible compensation of service fees.

The issue affects firms of all sizes, and this Technology Forum will explore how technology can perform a key role in demonstrating ongoing advice.

Ian McKenna and his expert guests will explore a variety of aspects, for example:

  • Using client portals to demonstrate ongoing engagement
  • Monitoring portfolio reviews and rebalancing
  • What to consider when selecting a solution - standalone system or integrated?

TARGET AUDIENCE

This session is designed for firms wanting to use technology as a core part of their process to demonstrate ongoing advice.

ABOUT THE TECHNOLOGY FORUM

The Consumer Duty Alliance Technology Forum will explore how technology can help firms to meet Consumer Duty requirements, for example evidencing the delivery of good client outcomes.

Whilst focussing on the UK market, Ian will also share his learnings and insight from developments in other countries.

The Consumer Duty Alliance brings together parties across the financial services sector to share 'good practice', engage policymakers and raise the public’s perceived value of professional advice.
