Shirring Masterclass

Wed 4 Nov 2026 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM The Fold, GL53DP

Ever wanted to try shirring but weren't sure how to go about it?

Join our Shirring Masterclass and learn how to confidently create soft, stretchy shirred fabric with professional-looking results. From setting up your machine to winding the bobbin, stitching techniques, and finishing touches, you’ll gain the skills to transform simple fabrics into beautifully gathered designs. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your sewing skills, this hands-on masterclass is the perfect opportunity to learn, create, and take your sewing to the next level.

You will not make a garment in this workshop but you will be able to apply your learning to future projects.

Examples of projects you could tackle after are: The Mabel Dress & Blouse by Tilly and The Buttons, The Joni Blouse by Pattern Scout Studio and The Cassie Dress by Sew Over It.

ALL MATERIALS ARE PROVIDED
