Learn how to take your smartphone pics from quirky to high quality, with expert guidance from Martin Hill.

When most of us carry a mobile phone with us every day we don’t always realise the creative opportunities that come with it! Whether that’s capturing an idea, a memorable event or some specific information, knowing how to use the camera in your phone is a great way to ensure you never miss a special moment.

In this 2hr workshop you’ll be guided through all aspects of taking great photos from composition to camera settings. You’ll leave with a clear understanding of key photographic techniques and feeling more confident about how to capture high quality images just using your phone camera.

All you need to bring is a recent smartphone and you’re good to go!

Martin is something of a creative polymath.

He’s worked in the creative industries for over 35 years as a photographer, designer and creative director.

His photography has taken him all over the world from mountain peaks in equatorial Africa to the bottom of the sea in the Caribbean. He’s taken portraits of a wide array of subjects, actors and musicians, on location and in the comfort of the studio. He loves the challenge of getting great shots of even the most camera-shy of subjects.

As a designer and creative director he’s worked for high profile agencies including Saatchi & Saatchi and ?What If! , crafting category leading brands, campaigns, products and experiences.

He also holds an MA in design and is a visiting university lecturer.

All that creative talent gives him a unique perspective on the art of smartphone photography from composition to making the technology work for you, these sessions promise to be entertaining, inspiring and informative.
