Papier Mâché Made Modern - Course of 2 workshops
Papier Mâché Made Modern - Course of 2 workshops
Join us in our first floor studio space for this inspirational hands on Papier Mâché masterclass with Andie Roston
Two, 2 and a half hour workshops £75 pp - 10.30am to 1.00pm Tuesday 10th AND Tuesday 17th November .
In this workshop over two consecutive weeks, Andie will show you how to create a papier mâché rustic bowl using the ecofriendly process. You will discover beauty in imperfection, embracing flaws instead of striving for flawlessness.
Andie has a degree in Art & Design and has spent the last two decades teaching.
As an experienced teacher and designer Andie knows how to bring creative ideas to life using this hands on craft process. Originating in ancient China, the technique of papier mâché gradually spread to different parts the world. The versatility of this process allows for an incredible range of creative expression in interior design, and this is your opportunity to sculpt a truly unique piece to feel proud of - one that you can take away and display in your own home.
You'll be shown the papier mâché process from start to finish. In the first workshop you will sculpt the shape and form of your bowl then it will then be left to dry out.
In the second workshop Andie will show you various ways to decorate your bowl, exploring, experimenting, and letting the materials surprise you to create interesting surface textures and colours that complement your own interior.
