EnField to Fork: A harvest farm tour and supper
Join Enfield’s local food champion, The Food Gatherer for an immersive harvest celebration of seasonal food and drink, organised in partnership with Enfield Veg Co. and Forty Hall Vineyard at London’s only certified organic farm; Forty Hall Farm.
We start with a meander around Enfield’s community Orchard with a welcome Shrub Cocktail, created by local food writer and author of The Vinegar Cupboard, Angela Clutton. Diners will then head off on a walkabout of the market garden hearing from the growers, while enjoying the fruits of their harvest, with bites along the way. We continue up the track to Forty Hall Vineyard, London’s first commercial-scale vineyard since the middle-ages where you'll enjoy a taste of their award winning organic wine and hear about the ‘not for profit’ social enterprise.
Then, we'll gather around the farm table to share a family style harvest supper, made using produce from that week's Enfield Veg Co. veg bag, along with meat from the farm and contributions from local cooks and producers, including the award winning Holtwhites Bakery.
Supper: 4pm to 8pm – Followed by drinks at the bar until 11pm
