THE MAGIC DUEL EXPERIENCE presented by The Forum Virtual Theatre

Ranked by TripAdvisor as one of the top 10% of attractions worldwide and Yelp’s best rated performing arts event in Washington DC, The Magic Duel is launching a live, streaming experience.  

After 5 years of highly rated live shows, this 60 minute, virtual performances now pit magical boomer Mark Phillips against conjuring Video Magician Ryan Phillips in a duel for the title of the world's Best Magician.  

More than a magic show featuring 2 world class magicians, The Magic Duel Experience is part AGT, part Survivor and part Top Chef (without the yelling or the food).  

Delivered directly to your living room, this live, streaming conjuring competition lets audience members choose the challenges, judge each magician’s efforts, and vote for their favorite!  

Audience members can purchase participant tickets to interact directly (and on screen) with the performers, making decisions that affect the outcome of tricks or having their minds read remotely and in real time!  

In addition, the format of a virtual show means most of the magic performed will be skill based sleight-of-hand popularized by stars of magic like Shin Lim. This is your chance to see what magicians call "finger-flinging" up close on screen.  

Two different tickets types are available for our virtual show: The General Pass admission ticket serves as admission for a single household. It allows live streaming on a single device, interaction with the show in real time through Chat, Polling, Q &A and an emoji feed, and allows each viewer to vote for their choice of the world's best via their smart phone or other device.  

There is also very limited number of ON Screen Participant tickets. Participant tickets are a 1 General Pass admission ticket, and also allow the ticket holder(s) to participate in the show via a direct video connection which will be set up prior to showtime.  

Participants will be directly interacting on screen with the magicians and will not have access to the show's chat feature. These special guests will be selecting cards, making important decisions for the direction of the show, and even having their minds read!  

Families are welcome to view our performances, and the magic is designed to entertain ages 12 and above.  

The Forum Virtual Theatre allows The Magic Duel Experience to stream our virtual show with high quality audio and video not possible on other platforms.  

The Magic Duel Experience will start promptly at the advertised time, which is 6 pm PST / 9 pm. EST.  

The "theatre lobby" will open 60 minutes before showtime and we recommend that each participant allow at least 15 to 20 minutes to use their ticket to access the show via The Forum Virtual Theatre.  

Participants will be contacted on the day of the show with their access link and must test their microphone and camera during the hour prior to the show.  

FAQs  

• Do I need to purchase a separate ticket per person? 

Nope! Your one-ticket purchase allows you to connect to one screen and bring the entire household with you!  

• Do I need any special equipment or software? 

Nope again! To enjoy the full potential of the event and to ensure compatibility, participants should connect to the event from a desktop or notebook computer, rather than a phone or a tablet.  

•What if I lose internet service during the show? 

We totally understand the frustrations of internet service. If you lose service during the event, please email us at info@theforumtheatre.com within 24hrs of the show, and we will work with you to reschedule for a later show.
